Our Story

United We March Forward (UWMF), founded in 2018, emerged from a vision to create a grassroots organization deeply rooted in the culture and lived experiences of its constituents. As an ethnic community-based organization, we offer high-quality consultative services and in-house life skills development for immigrants and refugees.

Through strategic partnerships with other organizations, we can provide additional support and resources that will make it possible for immigrants and refugees to thrive personally and professionally in their communities. This approach ensures our nonprofit organization support enhances community empowerment services and educational programs for immigrants.

Our vision is to become the one-stop resource center for immigrants and refugees from around the world who are seeking to relocate to Eastern Iowa. We will provide our clients with a broad range of services under one roof, including case management, English classes, and driver’s education. Our goal is to provide HOPE through Education, Encouragement, and Empowerment to all families and communities.
